Nicole’s moving and candid speech established a tone for the students.  She expressed sincerity in sharing her personal story and mindset of overcoming great pain which was mesmerizing and inspiring.  Our students were moved to a level where they believed in those moments, that she had experienced and understood their private thoughts, dreams, fears, goals, obstacles and more. Multiple students reached out to Nicole after her speech to express their own experiences.  I watched as student after student melted into the tenderness that Nicole gave to each as the girls moved into groups and worked through multiple sessions of self-exploration.

Nicole is an electrifying motivational speaker. In my opinion, she ranks amongst the most inspirational speakers that I have encountered. Her passion to help others, through sharing her own life story and struggles is infectious.  The day she spoke, in just two hours, you could have heard a pin drop during any part of her presentation. Moreover, their response to her was unprecedented. Our women gained a fresh perspective of hope and the inspiration to fight to overcome their struggles. Most of our clients come to us with long histories of trauma and suffering; however our “hardest” clients were engaged and lined up to chat with Nicole afterwards. She delivered a message of hope, love and compassion. She is genuine and her kind manner truly comes from the heart.

On February 20, 2019, the Ventura County Probation Agency – Juvenile Facilities had the pleasure of hosting its’ very first book signing event with L. Nicole Cervantes, author of “The Butterfly Chronicles: The Journey of Radical Transformation.” 

Mrs. Cervantes presentation was both moving and inspirational as she connected with our female youth regarding the everyday struggles they may face. Her message was clear and motivating as she challenged our youth to look deep within themselves and realize their worth. If nothing else, Mrs. Cervantes’ message instilled hope in the lives of these young people and helped them realize that there was at least one person in the room that helped or pushed them to be a better person. It was a pleasure working with Mrs. Cervantes. She has our full support and recommendation to spread her powerful message.
